Update: Goodbye Coolpix L11, we'll miss you...

Stuff featured the Nikon Coolpix L11 in our March feature, “Sub-$400 Cameras”.

We were wrong. The Coolpix L11 was phased out last year to make way for the L14. We made a mistake for the pricing too. We’re sorry!

The good news? Nikon has recently released some updates to its Coolpix line of digital cameras, and here are two of the latest models to whet your appetite.

1. Nikon Coolpix P5100 $549

It’s witchcraft, we tell thee! How else could Nikon shoehorn 12MP, an image stabilizer, an optical viewfinder, a SDHC slot and full manual control into that tiny body? Performance is also top-notch – what more could you ask from a pocketable camera?

2. Nikon Coolpix S600 $499

A small step ahead of the S550, the 10 megapixel S600 comes with a 2.7” LCD and optical image stabilization, but cuts the zoom to 4x (compared to the S550’s 5x). It also allows sensitivity settings up to ISO 3200 for crystal clear shots. The camera looks quite pretty too. Grab it now.

Check out the full range of Nikon cameras here. Bon Appetit!
